Luke 20:9-11

⁹ Then He began to speak this parable to the people, “A certain man planted a vineyard, hired farmers, and went into a strange country for a long time.

¹⁰ “And at the proper time, he sent a servant to the farmers to have them give him of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him and sent him away empty.

¹¹ “Again, he sent yet another servant. And they beat him, and treated him badly, and sent him away empty.
